Any LFS that recommends bioballs for a reef tank should have any advice they give seriously questioned before put their recommendations to use.

You will get a lot better advice here on 3reef, and we don't charge for it either. lol

Ya, well i questioned the advice and got what i was looking for. I'm going to go to her for parts and fish and stuff because she gives me great deals. But as far as design, I'm going to be going through 3reef before i do anything :)

Ok so I drilled today. Here's today's pics...

Getting the stuff for the build.

Cutting the acrylic piece in half to make the two overflows.

    Drilled first hole.

So now all i have to do is trim down the acrylic i got for the overflows. It's still a little to tall so i'm gonna trim a half inch off and make teeth. Then glue a black piece of plastic to the front so you can't see through into the overhead.

And i think i'll try to get ^^^^^ done tomorrow. And install it. Maybe get the sump built too.

Haha. Dude yeah. Like literally everything is going to be built from scratch. lol. Minus the skimmer and pump. That would be difficult. :p

I'm gonna post here in a sec my sump design. Gonna do it in a 20 high. I need some feedback

Not quite a true DIY tank as it was built by someone else, but nice none the less.

Ok VERY VERY VERY VERY sloppy visual. I work on a mac and have nothing equal to the power of paint. LoL. But here's the idea...

From left to right...First section is where the water drops in from the overflow, flows into the ref, then out to the pump. Good?
