    what product are you using?
typically the maximum you can dissolve is 1.75 or 1 and 3 quarter teaspoons into 1 gallon of water

any more than that just falls out of solution (NB you could add 45 mils of vinegar and dissolve almost 3 teaspoons into a gallon of water but for your present needs maybe not required)

It's Kent kalk. I only use one tsp per gallon. I mean my alk and calc are good so the vinegar isn't needed yet lol. But I just wanted to know if it was safe to use that way.

When I mix my kalk I leave it to settle for at least 3 hrs then use it. It is still slightly cloudy, but you can see the a lot of solid gunk settled on the bottom.
