    They will last a year in pristine conditions. I would return for credit if possible.

    I had one before was doing great grew quite a bit. My tomato clown hosted it and didnt seem to hurt it too much. It literally went from great to dead in about 2 weeks. It was doing great for 8 months or so. So yeah 1 year sounds about right. Read somewhere that they require special feeding? and water with higher nutreints? Good luck with it though.

    From my research, I have found out that the opposite holds true. They like murky waters, a condition that we cant offer them in our tanks.

    Precisely. Alveopora seems to fare better though. Unfortunately, alot of LFS get the Goniopora without ordering them so, unfortunately, they have to sell them, usually to unsuspecting hobbiests :(
