    Spectrapure sends their units "plug and play." Everything is installed.

    The Spectrapure unit should produce 2 to 1.

    No, Spectrapure is 4 to 1 unless you have the high efficiency unit. You need to trim the flow restrictor too, as the neccesary length is determined by factors out of their control, like water pressure and temperature. It even says so in the setup guide they include with the unit.

    I own a CSPDI and I personally tested my unit using 5 gallon jugs. For every 10 gallons of waste, I would have a completely full 5 gallon. As you stated, pressure and temperature are a factor. This was tested and produced in the summer.

    You need to trim the flow restrictor an inch at a time until you get at least 3:1 or else you will foul-up the membrane.
