I ordered a UV 18w for my Coralife Turbo Twist, and it has lasted over a year. (Time to replace...but never burned out running 24/7) From this same company.

I've got bulbs from them before(175 watt mh 14 k). I believe their brand of bulb is pulse rite. I felt they gave me great color and growth for the money but I had to replace the approx every 8 months or so. I could tell by coral reactions the spectrum was changing. But IME not a bad deal.

That's not true in many cases. Water temperature is much more dependant on ambient temperature, humidity and ventilation. I've run halides of all sizes in a bunch of different conditions and am yet to find a situation where heat issues couldn't be solved with the use of evaporative cooling.
