    i do kinda get it but in the ocean it wouldnt be a complete black out is what im thinking but several of you has said to do it so were feeding the fish tom morning good and then lights out till tuesday morning correct 3 full days???

    I have had a week and a half black out (11 days) when both of my lights shattered. All the corals were fine and not a single granular of algae was left in the tank! lol. I would not suggest to do it for that long but it definitely helps! :D

    You don't have to have the lights on to feed the fish. They'll eventually wake up & be out and about even with the lights off.
