    I know what you mean, but at the same time, that happens to all LFS good or bad. Thats the price of doing business.

    was just wondering how long you fw dip for and does it differ between different corals and fish

    I have never seen a zoa eating spider in my life and I hope I never see one in my tank;D

    i lost half the frags i bought at macna,mostly zoas.i especially hate those ceramic frag plugs.i dip them in fresh water and watch all the red flatworms come out of the pours.

    I dip for 10-15mins in freshwater and lugols. I use about 1 quart of water to 4 drops of lugols. Thats like 8 drops per gallon. The instructions on lugols says to use 40 drops per gallon.

    well,it won't kill most corals.so far i only saw a brain almost die from a fresh water dip.i'm sure theres others but so far i've only seen a lobo brain react badly.

    Perhaps your brain was already not doing well, and the dip just made it worse.



    Ive never lost or almost a coral. Ive dipped brains, acro's, zoa's and leathers. Dipping will not harm a healthy coral.
