    Nice tank.
Like the gourami I had some when I first got into fishkeeping.
You guys with the planted tanks are making me think about doing one with my 40g tank.

Thank you, I really like the gouramis, very pretty and graceful in their swimming.

Man I wish I had the patience for a planted tank. I had a 29g before my current reef tank and I swear that thing was harder to maintain then my saltwater lol

I don't think they are harder than a reef tank. There are more parameters to monitor and maintain in the reef. They are definitely tougher than FOWLR though.

I dunno I had to constantly prune like once a week water change scrub the filter dose every day monitor co2 and battle algae like crazy...on one hand I think the algae was in part to not having enough water movement

Daily dosing is the same in both tanks right now until I get the controller going on the reef. I change water in both tanks weekly. Pruning might be the difference. Don't prune the corals yet.

Only thing I dose in my reef is vodka at the moment. Soon I'll be doing the whole dosing regimen with calc alk and mag but hopefully ill be able to set up dosing pumps to automate it
