Good Grief John.....this is an amazing looking tank. It almost makes me want to give up my reef and do a planted tank.

Thanks, I actually spend more time on this tank than the reef with the faster growth. I don't have a sump or an ATO so I spend more time there also. I started off my recent round of aquariums with this planted tank. It was low tech, PC lighting and no pressurized CO2, for a couple of years then I went high tech.

I think it's amazing. I'm sure you don't have an issue with algae growth in that tank!

Very little, I get dust and spot algae on the glass and have some cyano where the cleaning fish can't get to it.

That's crazy. Hmmmmm I have 2 175 watt MH's I'm not using. I got the lighting, now I need to find a tank.

And a good CO2 register, a CO2 tank and a reactor. Plus you will need to dose iron, potassium and a micro nutrient mix at a minimum or you will be growing more hair algae than plants.
