What is the substrate, it almost looks like a bark product?

Does the coloration of the water resolve over time or do you run carbon?

 

The substrate is a fired, mixed clay product. The coloration will not resolve without carbon though it will lessen somewhat. I think I am going to leave it as is.

 

Added the Madagascar Lace from the 75 today and the Bolbitis 2 weeks ago. The crosshatch pattern is caused by the lighting.

 

Too bad Discus are so darn big, they would like sweet in that tank with the scape.
