    Here is the PM I was going to send you


    I tested Nitrates twice and they both came back the saem.. around 80 ppm.

    Im going to do a water change tomorrow. Water changes are just hard to do as I dont have a pump to just pump the water back into the tank.

    I also tested my top off water that I use to mix my saltwater as well as top offs and it came back as 0 ppm so the nitrates aren't coming from there.

    hmmm...i would try the chaeto again...the algaecide is probably out, but the chaeto you have in there is probably going to continue to die off adding to nitrates. is your rock porous? would like to see the nitrates come down..

    Ok, so I should just go ahead and take the Chaeto out.

    if it is soft and falling apart I would. It is probably just decomposing in the tank.
