Sounds right. I got tired of the really fine powdery sand in the Biocube.

 

I can't get over how much this acan has changed color. When I put it in the tank, it was legitimately pink and white. I'm wondering if it was just that bleached? I think it looks much more attractive now... granted I'm feeding it 4+ times a week.

It's not quite done Once I finish teaching for the semester (this week) and get a little breathing room from dissertation (possibly early next week, I'll take a day break)... I have the material to make the canopy "door". I'm currently looking at lift off hinges so I can just lift it off and have tank access. I don't like large swing doors.

Ignore the random pile next to the tank... got the canopy door finished. It's a lift off door, takes 2 seconds to take off and 5 seconds to put on. I built the door as well btw.

 

The saga continues. I redid the return line today. I got tired of having multiple pumps in the return section of the sump. I now have a manifold I can use to run the reactors I want.


Also, doors for the stand underway.

 

totally unrelated to your tank, what field are you studying in for your PhD?
