Jimmy's 90 Gallon Build Thread

Just getting some stuff together... like rock scape and all that. Also, full of salt water now!




I decided to finish the trim work with the tank wet since we still have to cycle and I'll have the time. Additionally, power supply for the main LEDs should be in tomorrow. 200W of 14k LED multichips.

 

Is the cycle done yet??

 

0 ppm Ammonia
1.5-2 ppm Nitrite
5 ppm Nitrate

I also redid the rockwork and filled in extra sand

 

Let's see the new scape! ;D

Love but build so far. Im going to redo my canapy for my new 90 gallon and model it after yours. We need to see more pictures of the finished project!!

Can't help but get some corals... This acan was VERY pink and white at the LFS... color has changed a fair amount. I am supplementing it with some royal blue crees I have that I can move around independent of the tank lights. Orange and green has popped out of it recently, quite a bit of orange actually. Also feeding it a lot.


And, was able to move over some of the RBTAs from the Biocube. Due to negligence of the tank... they were pretty bleached and all rather small. They were about quarter sized when I put them in the tank. With lots of feedings, they are growing crazy fast.


Some more rock views... I'd get a FTS but there's a wicked glare off the front glass. Might have to wait until it's darker outside.


Also, due to dissertation... I haven't been able to finish all the doors >.< ... I have 2 - 100W LED multichips mounted in the canopy and a ton of Cree LEDs in the garage waiting for a heatsink and time to mount them before the tank will be full spectrum.

 

What substrate are you using??
