    i dont think the color of the sand will matter when it comes to housing corals. The only time having a lighter sand may effect the well being of your corals is if you already have insufficient light and you have a lighter color sand as an excuse to chinse out on a better lighting system. Honestly i think the color sand that you choose it is purely aesthetic.
