I just made the payment on 2 Wp-25s from the group buy. Should have them in a week or 2. I ended up buying 2 of them because the prices were going up again. I figured if I get 2 I have a spare just in case.

HI. I have 125 reef tank. Currently using 4 Koralias 1400 for circulation. Im trying to save money and buy nicer and quieter pumps. Always thought about Vortech but now sims like this is a competition.Do you think they are as good as Vortech. How many and what kind I need for 6' tank? Thanks.

These are not designed the same as Vortechs; they are more like Tunze copycats. That being said, for a reefer on a budget, they are an awesome value. I have two WP40s in my 125 mixed reef. This is all you will need for flow as well IMO.

I have just ordered (like 10 minutes ago) a wp40 with the intent of putting it in a 60 gallon cube (24x24x24) Anyhow, after ordering I started reading the wp40 was too big for the 60 gallon... I currently have 2 mp40's in my 125 and trying to decide what would be best to do..

    1) Put the wp40 in the 60 gallon and leave the mp40's alone

    2) Put the wp40 in the 125 with one mp40 and use the other mp40 in the 60 gallon and dial back as needed

    3) Cancel the order of the wp40 and order the wp25

    Any thoughts??

I have the wp25 in my 75 gallon tank and its plenty of flow. I would think the wp40 would be way to much for the 60 gallon.

So i just ordered a wp25 also and dimmer box... plan is to put the wp40 in the 125 6' long tank on the opposite end of the mp40. Put the mp40i pull out in the 60 gallon cube.. If needed for more random flow I may add the wp25 on a dimmer to the 60 or the 125.. time to play I guess
