Why did you get such a small pump? What is it's use?

Only reason why I ask, is 'cause I got a DC12000 (the big dog) a few weeks ago,
and it does come with the same 6 speed controller, feed mode, etc.

It's currently running as my RP on my 125reef, with 10 ft of head, and it's on level 5 of 6, still pushing about 800 gph at that head height.
I did upgrade my return lines to 1&1/2", and what a difference it made.

This thing is dead silent. If you did see the return to the sump flowing, you wouldn't know it's on!

Sorry about the hijack, If anyone is interested, here's my review thread of the DC12000.

And, I'm glad you got a nice RP too!

Basically the same, Diablo seems way overpriced.

Then I was told they were the same pump, now different companies.

Who knows, but for the prices on Ebay, for new Jabeo pumps- it's worth it.

I currently have 2 WP40's- one in my 125reef now working like a charm, and one in a box waiting to go to0 be the 2nd WP40 in my 180g.
I also have the DC12000, which is working beyond excellent.

It probably is the same pump. I have a Red Dragon Skimmer pump and the replacement motor for it is the Askol 1500 .. exact same motor. Now there may be a couple things slightly different with the rest of it like gauge of wires or volute grade of plastic rubber feet ect. Would have to see side by side to really tell.
