Dr.Fragenstein, not really. I have been doing alot of research since that time and decided that given enough time and patience I could make the same high end equipment for literally 3/4 less the cost. I just take it as a lesson learned.

Dr. Fragenstein, no definitely no going to make a Vortech. I'm think I'm going with a closed loop system for this aquarium.

I just don't understand why you would tear down a tank that was still in its infancy only to put one up again so quick.... and another 120?

Dr.Fragenstein, well I want to have everything in place and tested before I put anything living in it. I don't believe I fair to the animals I housed to subject them to a constantly changing environment in order to work out problems that should have been thought of during the design phase.

    Not really following you Jason....
    You mean the original 120?
If you wanted everything to be balanced and all that, why not let the old 120 run and work out all the kinks instead of tearing down and rebuilding?
That 120 wouldn've/could've been nice with a little time and algae maintaince!

Dr.Fragenstein, no I'm actually building an aquarium myself in the bedroom. I'm going with a cube style either 3/4 Inch Acrylic or Starphire Glass. Haven;t decided which way yet.

I'm sensing a little bit of impatience.

By all means, I suffer from this too. But i'm with the doc on this one...why did you tear it down in the first place?

Why not go big and make a plywood tank! ;)
I always say, when I upgrade and move up I want a 8'-10' tank that is 30" or so wide and only like 20" or so tall... It would be the tang heaven tank, also the biggest T5 lit tank ever!!:)

Anyway, so what made you decided to start fresh and DIY?
    What equipment DID you keep?!

I second that!.....why would you tear down and sell just to turn around and do a 120 all over again?
