Does anybody know if Rust-Oleum specialty spray paint for plastic is ok to go in the tank after it dries. It says "direct to plastic paint no primer needed"

I'm not sure that after awhile the paint would not flake off ? Never painted anything for inside a tank before. Just used the pain for the back outside of the tank.. I'd think a good marine epoxy paint would not be a better choice Like we used to use on wooden tanks to seal them tight.

Out of curiosity...what are you painting on the inside of your tank?

In the thread about the cheap DIY overflow I think covey said that Krylon Fusion spray paint is tank safe when dry. I think the application they were talking about was for painting the overflow pvc that was going to be in the tank. you can check the thread I think its on page 5?

That's what I was going to paint. The PVC overflow. White PVC with grey writing is not exactly the most aesthetically pleasing thing to ever be put in a tank. If the paint is not safe I could deal with it though. I couldn't find krylon fusion, but it seems like this is the same thing.

Kragen auto parts sells it. The fusion line is for "around the home" use.
