    Sure.

    Depending on your fish load, you might need to purchase Potassium/Ammonium Nitrate, Iron, and (in one of the VERY RARE times I'll ever recommend this) and an iodine supplement.

    PS, if your Iron is chelated, dose after lights out.

    for growing plants/macro algae i like using Compact Fluorescent bulbs in a just a regular clamp lamp unless u are going for a show fuge than yea those lights would be pimp

    yea this is going in my lionfish/show refugium 55 gal tank. i dont want it hooked up to the 30 because the lions will be messy.

    inwall- do you think i will need to deose those with a couple dwarf lions or not?

    I would say possibly only the iron.

    I wouldn't dose iron. Lionfish, especially if you have 3 in a 55, will more than generate enough food for the macro along with supplemental lighting. I have 13 tanks with macro in it, some I had for over 10 years, I've never added iron or anything else to my tank.
