is this ok base rock??

    also gotta hate it when the rock is white enough it will blind you lol

    Don't worry about the white....LOL! It will change colors over time. I started mine with a lot of base rock and now you can't tell the difference and it was a whole lot cheaper than going with all live rock.

    I used lots of "blinding white" base rock. It doesn't stay that way long!

    yea i know but my halides are just so bright and them hitting off the rock is blinding. its not so bad now but when i put it in there it was really bad.

    Probably easier on the eyes....j/k

    Pretty normal. They will go through a rainbow of colors before they start getting covered in coralline. Also, keep your parameters in check and you will be fine.

    ugh parameters. my main problem right now. anyways yes its much easier on the eyes.

    i just bought some of the reef rock today at pet smart...will it eventually turn to liverock and hold benifical bacteria.....i hope so i read this post yesterday and found the rock today at a nice price....so how long b4 it turns to lr?

    mine now is a greenish shade so essentially it is live rock now. its just not very colorful yet.
