    Wal-Mart and many convenience stores sell purified (ro) and distilled water. You can use that to do frequent water changes. It's still a lot better than straight tap. Just make sure it hasn't been re-mineralized for drinking.

    Distilled is better than RO only, and available at any supermarket too.

    just add some chemi clean and follow the instructions...
