    $200 reefbreeders

You would only need 1 of these.

I have 1 over my 75 its a great light. All my sofites and LPS love it.

Honestly, i bought a cheap T5 fixture when i started out, then wished i had saved the money and gotten LED.

LED is the future! dont waste your money on old tech! lool

    nah that thing is junk!

honestly just save up another $100 and get the reefbreeders led. You wont regret it. You will be able to handle all corals. And trust me, once you start, you will want more and more corals!

Going to compare the t5 light you listed against led light i listed

Led i posted has 7 different color leds. (t5 could only have 2) LED will have better spectrum and give better growth.
    Its dimmable(your t5 is not).
    Leds are more energy efficient.
Leds last MUCH longer. T5 bulbs have to be replaced at least once a year.
    Leds run cooler.
2 plugs so you can put blues and white/colors on different timers.
    Led has 2year warranty.

So i would need to dim the lights for the coral? Just having it on at a certain time and cutting it off at a certain time won't help the coral?

The T5 will take care of your planned needs and then some.

The LED mentioned will allow you to easily keep high light clams and SPS.

Honestly it really depends on what you plan to keep, if you ever want a clam or sps i would go LED.

With the led i posted, it has 2 dimmers, one for white/colors one for blue. You can set these as high or low as you like to get a more white or more blue color to the tank.
Then you can plug each side blue and white, into different dimmers.

My tank i have blue at 100% on a timer that comes on at 7am and the white/colors at about 80% on a timer that comes on at 11am.

I only have 1 fixture over a 75gal tank when i really should have 2.

You could probably be fine at about 60% blue 40% white/color. And once you set the dimmers you never NEED to adjust them, but you can if you want.

I promise you tho, you will not regret getting a better light down the road, when you see that clam at the LFS! hahah

Thanks for everything. I think since i wont be getting any advanced corals and i am going to keep this tank pretty simple since i know this is not my last tank. Can you tell me the type of coral that my T5 light i listed will support?
