Will my clownfish live atleast? Also will getting the brown algae cleaned up help?
Nitrite is extremely toxic to fish. The brown algae is probably diatoms. They will disappear by themselves when the silicates are consumed.
You have a ways to go before you should be adding and nem, or a fish at that matter. Its understood though, you will learn these things as time goes by. The nem prob wont make it, as for the fish, its stressfull but should survive. Just remember be patient and go slow.
Well i been keeping up on water changes and this morning the nem was in the corner by that small rock again however it was all out and puffed stems. It seems it is attaching itself to the side of a small rockin that corner. Ill post a photo
Zippy photo bombed...
If you see the mouth start to gape, it's time to pull it out. A dying anemone can wreak havoc in a smaller tank. An unattached nem is not a healthy one, but yours doesn't look too bad, yet. Just keep an eye on it and try not to mess with it too much.
Yeah ill keep a eye on it also when i do a feeding zippy eats then he begins to take few pieces to zappy drop them in the middle of zappy then gets more and keeps repeating for a lil is he trying to feed the anenome?
Leave the nem lie. It will move to a spot it likes. Even if its not where you want it, leave it.
Yes, does it take the food? A healthy anemone will grab food.
By the way, nitrite isn't as toxic as we make it out to be in SW systems:
Separate names with a comma.
