Is there a natural way to introduce iron for macros or is the best bet to use a product like brightwell or kents?

The most "natural" way would be through water changes IMO. Other wise, I would supplement.

fergon dissolved in water for me. one bottle of fergon will last forever...the draw in a commercial system is much higher than in a hobby tank. Depending on how many leafy greens you have, you may never need iron other than through water changes. I find that at times a little iron will help my greens go darker if they are getting pale.

Thanks for the cheaper product there John... Is your fergon ferrous gluconate or ferrous sulfate?
