    Oh ****. I have one little copper piece on the skimmer in the sump. I'm a newbie I had no idea. Is my tank screwed?

    To all I do have a little copper piece on the plumbing tube for the skimmer in the sump. Been in there 6 weeks. Is my tank screwed? I'm new at this I had no idea

    Will I ever be able to have inverts? Or should I get the sledge hammer? How bad am I screwed? Thanks for the link to the remedy

    When you put them in without acclimating you prob shocked them to death!!! The temp might have been different from the bag they were in...inverts are very sensitive and a drastic change in temp will kill them....also...120 gallon new tank(6 weeks to cycle) are you 100% sure its fully cycled?I.M.O Inverts won't do well in a 6 week old tank...Simply put...the tank isn't ready for inverts yet...I have a 90 gallon and it took 2 months to fully cycle...I think you might be rushing it...:/

    Do u think after removal of that piece and some cleaner I will be able to have inverts or is the tank screwed? Thanks

    No way, snails are incredibly hardy to temperature and salinity. Cycling is dependent on system and they are all different.

    Are you saying I'm screwed or can that copper be cleaned up to have inverts again?
