Inverts won't last 24 hours!

    Is the tank new or did you buy it used? If the previous owner used copper to cure a fish disease, it will remain in the silicone and kill all your inverts.

    You need to get an ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate test kit, and test your levels.

    Also its a good idea to research before you buy. The local fish store may lead you astray. It's not uncommon.

    New tank or used. It sounds kinda like a used tank that may have had copper meds doesed in it if its only inverts dying.

    yeah, I'd take some water down to your LFS and have them test it all and for copper!

    all other reasons aside, I had a massive die off of snails due to starvation. just a thought. Things I thought they would eat they didn't. Starting with about 30 snails only about 5 remain. They need food, even if you think they aren't "taking care of the problem" you really only need a few.
