instant ocean calcium booster only once a week?!

i just bought a bottle of the stuff and it says i only need to dose once a week where the liquid calcium from kent i have been using says everyday, they both say i need to add 5ml per 50 gal but why is instant oceans just once per week? Do you recommend i only add it once a week as it says?

 

I suggest you check you calcium level before you add it
and then check 6 hours after adding it, so see how much it increased the calcium level ( thus if it was 400 and is now 410)
and then next week, check your calcium level again

if the number is the same as the number before you dosed IE 400 - dosing once per week is fine
if the number on the second week is lower, eg 390 then you might need to dose a second time in a week ( you will know how much it raises calcium, provided you test 6 hours after adding 1st dose)


the strenght of the solution varies between brands
