    Hi Kingterra

depends on coral type and there may well be some corals that could do ok under your present lights

but best case would be coral might live a long time, but never reach its potential in terms of colour and vibrancy as lighting is not optimum

worse case, in simple terms ,with symbiotic algae hosting corals, the coral starves to death after the algae dies

I am not sure about the lights you have. You got them from just a regular light bulb store?

If the daylight bulbs are 6k, and the blue bulbs are just colored lights, you will have a hard time growing corals. Algae does better under those lights, so you may have a problem with GHA or green water. I would recommend getting some good bulbs from the fish store.

Good bulbs really make the difference. Trust me I know this from experience. Here is what my tank looked like when I was using old bulbs

Hi Kingterra - you could, but you may regret it , the yellow tailed blue is not as aggresive, it may display at new arrivals but only shows real aggression when new arrival gets to close to the damsels territory

dominos or 3 spots, and even humbugs are more likely to hound a new arrival, looking for them to bully, irrespective of area of tank they are in

with a yellow tail - you can in most cases, keep it as you add more fish

with a domino - you will probably want to net it and remove it after you watch it bullying your new specimen

Thats good, for a tank cycling - what you got in there at present?
if you have the YTB damsel, keep feeding to a minimum, dont be tempted to feed it 2 or 3 times a day - once per day, miss one day per week would be best

wait until Ammonia and Nitrite are both down at zero before adding anything further

probably best to give it 2 - 4 weeks even if levels zero before that time
