Hey guys just wondering what kind of light cycle your running on your sumps, also what bulbs.I currently have a 2700k cf on my fuge but the cheato is only getting the light that is not taken by the ats. Should I hang another light? I think running the ats and the chaeto might be stunting the growth of eachother because there is minemal growth in both even though I have plenty of nitrates.

    Wow, good questions.

IIRC, Vinny was running both a ATS and chaeto- not sure.

    I've heard the hard core ATS's don't need no 'stink'n' chaeto ;-)

I don't have an ATS. Not that there's anything worong with that, and sure they do work well.

I have 2 clamp on reflectors, each with a 100W CFL bulb. I think they were 6500K.
I tun them 12/12- more or less opposite the DT light cycle.
My display is less than 12/12 though.

Putting more light on both, using clamp on reflectors, and CFL bulbs is low cost, go fot it.

    Oh yea,
I use the SC150, now renamed, it's from SCA, or southern continent Aquatics.
I've had it about 2 years, awesome skimmer- in sump. Pulls nice skim every day.
