ID this anemone please

Long story short... this is "nemzilla"

hes been an ongoing joke between me and the lfs employees (been returned 3 times by different customers because it "killed everything")

i told them that id take him because hes been sitting there for almost a year (went from 105$ to 10$ haha)

last guy who got stung by him couldnt get the barbs out and had boils and skin decay + unimaginable pain

why did i get him? im not really sure either haha

hes black, but turns an almost transparent bright red when he eats

about 10 inches across when fully extended

has a long (8 inch) "foot" almost like a tube anemone

to give you an idea of how much carnage he puts out : i lost a 5 inch naso tang a few days ago and put it in the tank... 4 hours later he spit out some bones, end of story.

here is a terrible cell phone pic i just want to know what he is!! the lfs didnt know because it was given to them

according to the lfs he is a non-photosynthetic and found at low depths

Yiikes . I'm speechless. I know anemone kills but 5" naso and split out bone? Just Wow. Sorry I can't id.

 

how do you sleep at night with that thing in your house?

 

haha funny you say that... i actually had a nightmare about him a couple nights ago... he was as big as a truck and chasing me i woke up sweating hahahaha..

if you guys wanna see i feed him live goldfish (~2 inches long) and he wrecks them. video? haha

 

That is crazy. I can't wait for the ID on that bad boy.

btw... someone mentioned "black octopus" while referring to the nem... no idea if it means anything
