    The issue is the quantity of fish and type of fish in the tank. Water quality and stress is a common factor for ich.

    The only real method of getting rid of ich, a fishless tank for 6-8 weeks.

    You can treat the fish in a hospital tank but unless the parasite has no host for 6-8 weeks-its still in your dt.
