    I had a similar sponge that was sending out tubules all over the place. I still have some of it after my move. Doesn't bother anything although I can't be sure it's the same one I had. Now I mainly have these blue and yellow ball sponges everywhere.

    Moorish idol but make sure it eats the type of sponge you want removed. They also don't do well in captivity.
