Does Interceptor Spectrum work? If do, do I get the large dog version?

I would run to Lowes or Home Depot and buy the bayer complete insect killer. Get a measuring cup and use 10ml per cup of Saltwater and dip them for 10 minutes. Baste them while in the dip. And then rinse them well before placing back into the tank. Repeat this 7 days later for the next 3-4 weeks until you no longer see them.

This is what most people now use for SPS dips/treatment

The difference is that Interceptor is an "in tank" treatment. With the Bayer, you have to remove the coral and dip it. Bayer is highly effective and gentle on the corals. But it is toxic to inverts like shrimp, pods, etc. That is why you must rinse the coral well before placing back into the tank.

+110 on this. I love this method and have always been successful. Just make sure to rinse well before returning it to the main tank.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !

Do you know if hobbyist treating RB out of tank are experiencing any recurrence. I have always wondered if RB where strictly isolated to the coral tissue itself, with none being found anywhere else in the tank?

I like the Interceptor method quite a lot, except for the potential loss of hermits, crabs and shrimp.

Acquiring Interceptor from a vet proved to be difficult for me.

Interceptor just isn't available these day. This method may require multiple treatments due to eggs. Inspect the piece before and after for egg clusters.
