Went to the lfs, today. they didnt have any of the fish i wanted :( but they had a decent selection of coral :D

So i got a big birdsnest, bubble coral, and a red and green brain. I'll need ID's for the birdsnest and brain. Right now i have them temp acclimating for about 15 minutes then i'll dump them in, what is kind of dirty so hopefully i wont get much of that in the tank.

Pictures will come once i get them in the rocks and sandbed. I'll be having the lights off for 24hrs, so i cant wait to see them tomorrow night

be careful when you put them in if you could adjust them to your tank water slowly it would help acclimate them. Good luck, birdsnest is really cool and grows fast, it will love your vortec powerheads, and did you get a new skimmer

thanks. i'll take a few pics here in a bit. Guess i'll just have to wait

thanks i cant wait to see how they look with the light on

yea i did the same thing with them as i do my fish. Birdsnest is a bit tramatized right now, because we tried gluing it to one of my rocks and the glue wouldnt hold so we had to consitantly try to glue it down but still wouldnt hold. So we've given up and have it in a temporary spot for recovery, i'll move it around later to a more permanent spot.

And i havent gotten a new skimmer, i sort of have my skimmer working right now

and birdsnest, most of the tips are white, and a lot of them are about to brake off, hopefully they will regrow, it's a bit stressed i think from the whole not glue not working incident, hopefully it will be ok

can't believe how quickly everything added up, it was just over $200 for only three corals, good thing my sister bought my the birdsnest and brain
