Ahhh...ok I get it now. Was confused when I first looked at it. You said your running 70 degree optics right? What kind of corals are you keeping?

what spectrum are the blues? ive only been able to find info on the whites so far....

very interesting project. i designed something in cad a year ago but the pricing for the drivers at that time were absurd. this reefledlights.com seems to have some fair pricing

That will be a sweet fixture.

What do you expect your total cost to be at the end? Parts only, not including labor?

The majority of the whites are the q5 right? What kind of performance are those compared to the xp-g and are they the same color?

Nvm I see that they are xp-es

Yup, the XP-Gs are a touch more yellow and peak at 1500 MA so I am just using those for middays.

Royal Blues are in the 450nm range.
I found the PDF under the LED Reef Led Lights » LED’s
    and scroll down mid way.

Pricing on the drivers is tempting me to make custom lighting in my house :)
I am contemplating my evil plans...

The xp-gs come cool white, neutral white, and warm white. I assume you chose neutral then and the others are like a cool white?

Both cool white, its just when you start to pump in the power into the LEDs they will burn a bit at a diff color temp

    XP-E
    XP-G
so at their peak end the XPGs wont be as crisp white.

Ohh ok... got ya. I chose to run all neutral white with mine. Will prolly have the blues running full throttle and have the whites dialed back. I am hoping the neutral whites will help bring out the pinks and reds.
