i just got home for the weekend from college and i found my beautiful clam dead, just an empty shell.... and i found my purple favia brain knocked over and right on my frogspawn.. still alive so hopfully it pulls through..
i bought a true percula clown last week, and i placed on my 150G and is also in the verge of dying.. im guessing its being bullied.. My saddle clowns are the main suspects.
he has some nipped fins and his tail is torn....
    im hoping he pulls through...

i dont know why my clam died though.
    parameters are good.
    ammonia 0
    nitrites nitrates 0

    ph.. 8.4

    salinity 1.024

i havent done a water change, but then again i usually dont do water changes that often.

My guess would be the angel ate the clam. I'm not sure about that particular angel but I have seen several threads on here about coral beauty or flame angels destroying clams.

Could it have been pyramellid snails on the clam?

Also, I wouldn't worry too much about the favia and frogspawn. Unless there's physical damage, I'll bank on them pulling through. They're both very tough corals when it comes to warfare.

i dont think so, i had that clam close to a month now maybe more.
it was just fine last week when i came over. Mom said it was fine 3 days ago and then it wouldnt open anymore since 2 days ago or yesterday.

The frogspawn seems fine, the favia seems deflated and with some mucus on it.. ( at least only on the part that was touching the frogspawn)

Sorry to hear, the favia should pull through. Sounds as though the clam was already in trouble when you got. Sudden death is common with clams plus clams don't always show they are having problems until it is too late.
