Maybe copper? A few years ago someone on this forum was having a similar problem. Turns out the neighbor's kid came over to play and ended up dropping a penny in the tank. Wasn't until everything else was tried that the person decided to break down the tank. That's when the penny was discovered behind a piece of rock.

lfs tested for o2...not sure of the level but he sed i was no where near dangerous levels...doesnt mean the problem wasnt temporary though.just seems odd.i also dont think this was the case bc the fish never wer gasping or at the surface they wer breathing normally.

tested for copper aswell but i knew that wasnt the case bc theres 5 nas. snails in the tank to get any missed food bits. i put them in about 3 months or so ago bc i was feeding very heavily trying get a trio of leopard wrasses to eat.

well after staring at this tank for hours and trying to figure out what the heck is going on i walked away had afew drinks and thought y not freshwater dip the entire thing back to base rock and go from there. i do enough water changes to combat bad water quality in combination with the filtration so out with the salt in with the fresh :)
