Howto: Neptune Apex + Tunze Turbelle electronic

Neptune's cables apparently have some issues integrating well with the Tunze Turbelle Stream electronic control boxes.

I have read that some people have had this issue, here's how I solved the problem:

Take a razor blade or other sharp knife and trim 1/16-1/8 off of the rubberized plastic cover of the Neptune cable. This allows the pins in the connector to fully engage the spring contacts in the receptacle. You should be able to see a small amount of metal in the space between the control box and the cable sheath as in the last photo:
