    Get the largest tank you can afford! The larger the tank = increased stability! We often believe that getting a smaller tank will reduce trouble, not true. As stated above, go softies first. Lots of beautiful corals out there to choose from (careful with invasive species such as GSP and Xenia). As for livestock, think it through. Whatever choices you make at the beginning will limit your options in the future. Be patient and wait until your tank is ready for what you want and CAN keep.
