It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Lake Tahoe California, about 7000 foot elevation. Snow from Oct through May and sometimes June in the higher elevations.

Wow, never been to Lake Tahoe. I lived in San Fernando Valley for 5 years and spent 4 years living on an indian (Yurok Tribe) reservation in the Redwood Forest in Klamath California.

You would have loved it there, there were so many things I had never seen before. The forest was so exciting and the ocean was right next to the reservation. I walked the beach every day.

A year before that, I lived in a 3/4 million dollar mansion on Pebble Beach. My bedroom was the entire top floor and the seals would bark all night and keep me awake. When I was there, the whales were spawning and I would go outside and sit on the deck to watch them. Beautiful but noisy.

There are so many cool places in the world.

My Lord! I went to California (LA, Downey) for school for a bit. LOL and I thought that was great compared to IL. I wish I had a 3/4 mil home :D. My uncle owns a constuction company there and builds multi-million $ homes. (jmurguia.com). I would drive to palos verdes and play in the tide pools all day. Unfortunately I had to come back here (for school). Its been way hotter here than LA was in the summer. Oh and 13246980972X more humid. The poms are cute. My aunt had two and they were the most annoying hyper little things. lol. She also had these and boy did they get big. What is it anyways. And Cheryl, I cannot believe that beetle gets that large!

Eight of us were hired by a group of inverstors to open a casino. The deal was we got the house, they paid for our cell phones and all the bills, provided us with transportation, and a weekly salary to go in and hire the people to build the casino from the ground up. After a year, we would move to the reservation and at the end of the job, we would get extremely large checks for completion.

We then hired employees, drug tested and trained them, and put up with all the bickering and fighting between them, us, and the investors.

When that job completed, I moved to Vegas and got a job as a Surveillance Supervisor. I stayed there for 5 years and that is where I learned about the homeless in this country. There are some really cool things in the world and some really sad things.

LOL. It's pretty much the exact opposite here. We have 60 degree "winter", almost summer, way too hot summer, and 85 degree "fall" haha.
