    How to make standard solution for my INSTANT OCEAN needle hydrometer ??
    the salt packedge said 1 Ib for each 4 gallons = 1.023 SG
    can i take this as a std. sol..

    Honestly I'd purchase a refractometer... What you are looking to do would most likely require someone who has a refractometer to double check the SG.
