how to frag encrusting montipora?

Thanks for the info inwall. I've got strawberry and purple haze encrusters i've been wondering how to frag. For the most part I think it's not going to be easy unless I chisel the rock underneath.

 

If its a plating montipora, just snap it off... I've gotten tons of frags and never had a problem... I fragged my monti's in my old 5.5gal more times than I can remember... But like inwall said if its encrusting then use his method...

this is real confusing. it slooks like a scrolling type and an encrusting type. i might just have to wait to see what it is. im leaning toward scrolling though now.

Did placing two colors on one frag make them grow together as onel. Also if u want I have green with purple tips if u want to trade pieces?
