Ever since I added my led lights I have been experiencing these two hair algae patches. My phosphate levels are 0-0.25 ppm (very low). Should I look into getting a crab of some sort to keep it under control?

    Here is a pic.

whenever my T5 bulbs get about 8 months old, I have algae in same spot always show up.

I keep 2 hermit crabs and a bi-color blenny for these problems and they seem to do pretty good (i've got a 55). Since they also eat prepared/frozen foods, I don't have to worry about it like you might a lawnmower.

    Does Amazon sell that? ;)

Are there any crabs that will take care of it?

What has worked best for me is to cut back on feeding for a bit and reduce the amount of time the lights are on. Good luck.

I feed once every 3 days.... White light is on for only 8 hours.

Wont touch nor hurt anything in your fuge. This product turns almost gel like when added to the water. Just remember to turn off your flow for at least an hour. Or else it will float away from the spots its been applied to. I have used this several times. I would not suggest anything not tried and true :)
