No vents except for where there is no back to the canopy. The fan just blows air in and keep it circulating so the hot air doesn't build up. It keeps the wood really cool and I have been thinking of adding another fan to suck air out.

The hood is 35 1/4" long and 17" wide. My canopy was already built with the tank so I had to find all the measurements of the reflectors and such so everything would fit. I would say go with MH because I like how they look on my tank and they will allow you to keep everything basically. T-5's are great to and if you get enough of them you can keep most corals. I went with the MH because it was a small fixture that produced a lot of light. Finding a fixture for my canopy was a pain in the butt.

Talk with Tangster here on the forum and he will set you up right.

I was always told not to glue rock down, for several reasons such as pure rearrangement to trying to get a fish out that likes to hide in them.
