I have a leather coral that is attached to a rock that some zoos have overtaken. I am having a zoo eating nudi outbreak and need to dip the rock. Is there any way to get this leather to release the rock?

    TIA,
    Rick

Hmm, none that I know of...

What kind of dip? Iodine? Freshwater?

Perhaps someone knows if a leather can take the dip? I don't know for sure....

That is a bummer with the nudis!

Keep us posted how you make out...

    Iodine.

I can easily dip all of the other zoos. I am afraid I wont be able to get rid of all of the nudis unless I dip ALL of the zoos.

I don't know. It has been there for over a year. I would supose that it is pretty settled.

Can I peal the mat of zoos off of the rock? Maybe that would be better.

I would avoid peeling off the zoo mat. That can be bad news. Their fluid can be quite noxious and squirts...you don't want that in your nose or eyes...numbness, and allergic reactions can occur.

Perhaps you can dip the portion of the rock up to the base of the leather. I don't think the iodine dip will hurt the leather anyway. Just keep an eye and make sure the nudis don't crawl up the leather.:)

If you can cut the entire coral off of the rock, you should be able to relocate the leather and have it reattach to your rockwork.

Just cut it with a razor blade?

I am afraid my problem may be solving itself. I think my zoos are gone.:worried:
