How long are you running your display lights? I really thing a nice ball of chaetomorpha will help solve some of your algae problems. BTW, do you have test kits? What are your parameters? i.e. pH, salinity, temp, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates?

Have you thought about what type of fish or corals you want?
Oh and how long has the tank been running?

I'm not sure- but I don't think I see any algae in the refugium. Just sand. It's hard to tell though.

Just looked back at the first post and you only have a few hermits and you didn't say how many snails. I really recommend a proper cleanup crew on your tank. If you go to reefcleaners.org (great site most of us use) they have any clean up crew you could ask for along with macro algae. You can also tell them your tank size and they will tell you the recommended cleanup crew. I have a 65 gallon tank and they suggested this cleanup crew.

    50 Dwarf Ceriths32 Nassarius
    15 Florida Ceriths
    3 Chitons
    12 Limpets
    9 Large Nerite

algae blooms are pretty normal in that new of a tank. They will come and go until the tank gets older and more stable. Also getting some macro algae in the fudge now will help.
