So! I am New to this site, and this would be the forum to start out on.

First is First, My Names Katie! :D Must Say I Love the site, lots of helpful information, not to mention all the nice people!. I'm 17, still a youngin haha.

I Recently got into the hobby after seeing a few of my friends tanks that they have. They're there for most the help I need. Ive put ALOT of effort and money into this, while my parents and family tell me i could be investing in a lot better things. Parents will be Parents. But I couldnt be more happier with the investment, I pretty Much live in front of My tank at home even though its still in progress.

    I have a 75 Gallon Reef tank, with a 30 gallon Sump/Refugium.

    (2) 1300 Gph Powerheads
    - 2600 gph total flux
    - 360 degree rotation to allow full directions

    I have a 48" Metal Halide 250 T5 HO
    - (2) - 15k Metal Halides
    - (4) - 54 watt Super Actinic T5 HO bulbs
    - (2) - 7 watt Led, Moonlight

I use Micron filter Bags, and Protein Skimmer

But before water enters the protein skimmer it flows through the refugium which contains crushed coral, then about 4 inches of live sand. I Do Keep My Light on my refugium 24/7. If anyone has anything to say on that please let me know.

    I use B-Ionic. Umm..

Its still new, So i Dont have alot, I have 2 Blue Damsels which were my first fish, Due to My first algae bloom I have a Algae Blenny to help the situation. Which I'm still having a slight problem with. (hair algae on back glass wont go away.)

I have red and blue hermits, All different sizes, maybe 7 or 8.

I also have bumble bee, Turban, and Nassarius Snails.

The Only Coral I have in my Tank is Green Star Polyps, and man let me tall ya that stuff grows like weeds!!

Other than that I have some pretty cool looking Mushrooms.;D

I would love to hear from some more experienced people, and get some opinions on my set up. Its my pride and joy!

Sounds like a nice setup. Pictures?

What kind of algae is in your refugium? Some people like to run 'fuge lighting 24/7 which prevents certain algae from going into a sex cycle which can cause problems for your tank.

You may want to do something about those damsels. They are good beginner fish but as they grow and get larger, they also get more aggressive and may beat up some of the more timid and newer fish additions.

Seems like you're off to a great start already though. Keep it coming!

Sounds like you have a very good set-up! Not much I could add to it!
For your algae problem, you will have to lower the available nutrients (phosphates and nitrates mostly). This can be done by everything from different macros in the refugium, running a GFO reactor, less and/or different food are the most common.
And, the fuge light should not be run 24/7. The rest/dark period is a very important part of a plants photosynthetic process. Also, running it 24/7 increases the chance the plants may go sexual, which can spread them to your main tank.
    And pics are demanded. D-MAN-DED!!!!!

As for the 24/7 having the light on, should i Run it with the same time as my main lights or opposite?
