Well, I hope to learn alot from this website, and I come ready with questions already! I purchased some live rocks to go with my new setup.. and this nice purple one had a purple (tree-like) coral attached to it.. the guys at the fish store say I am lucky, but this coral might not go well with sps corals.. Welcome to the 3REEF, Were the people are not Nazi's

 

I am only using a small aquarium light with a 20W CF (or PC in fish lingo) bulb. So I was surprised how much that coral grew. Oh, and thanks for the advice about posting. I saw most people in the ID forums were worried like "Please ID" "help me" "end my misery" but this coral's doing fine so I felt no need to hurry.. I am sure some future problems will come along that need quick action however!

 

david go to this link and click new thread and just put colt coral and sps as title and people will know better how to help you. We could answer here but we should not hijack northbays thread.

Well, I posted my coral pic on the forums to get more people's opinions on my strange tree-like coral. Since you people are so helpful with this simple ID, I can't wait until I get a real problem to deal with!
