    Probably not. Also, I've never seen hydroids attach to rock. I've only seen them attached to glass. I figured it couldn't hurt to throw it out there though :)

    If I am not mistaking I think that hydroids can stick to rock as well.
    Does it look anything like this? http://www.adoptareef.com/pix/HYDROID1.jpg If so it is most likely a hydroid which can and will attach to rocks.

    It does kind of look like one of those, but would it be uncommon for there to be 3 or 4 on 1 rock? Are they bad?

    I think I know what you have, I have a bunch of those on one rock. I will take a picture for you when I get home tonight. They have clear tentacles but my have blue tips and each tentacles is the thickness of spaghetti now and reach almost 2 inches now. I have had them since day one.

    I have not had any issues with them so I left them on.
