    That stinks. The problem with connecting to a garden hose is one, running the risk of hot water through your RO system when the sun has been beating on the hose.

    Two your RO being exposed to the sun.

    Here's a way of convincing her. Mine has a storage tank as well, so it has pressured water on demand. She will have pure water that is better than bottled water and overall cheaper.

    Sorry guys, didn't mean to take over the thread. ;) Getting back to the problem at hand. Your tank will cycle for a while still. Each time you add something new, it will start a mini cycle.

    They do make portable ones that you only hook up when needed
